Faith in 3D exists to invite young people of different faith groups to explore our common faith in Jesus Christ through worship, education, and community building. On January 13-16, 2012 youth from a wide variety of communions, including The Presbyterian Church (USA), Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and Cumberland Presbyterian Church will meet at Walt Disney World® in Orlando, FL for Faith in 3D. This open event will give your students the opportunity to experience worship from a faith perspective different from their own, celebrate their faith with familiar traditions, build relationships with youth from around the country, and experience the wonder and magic that is Walt Disney World®.

Thousands of teenagers are expected to spend the weekend at Faith in 3D. Although the gathering is large, the experience will be intimate. Each day, youth will gather together as a large community and worship with a contemporary and blended feel, sometimes with traditions from one of the denominations. The experience of worshipping through different traditions will bring us closer together as we all seek to uncover the fresh word of God. Participants will spend some of their time in smaller groups, meeting in the midst of the whole group, where they will laugh, play intentionally and debrief their worship and study experiences. The Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach Resorts are great places to just “hang out” after a day at the parks or before the day begins. There will be many opportunities for teens to interact with each other including a rendevoux at the pool on Sunday evening!

3 days to create a place for faith to grow. 3 days to experience God’s word and Christ’s community in a fun, relevant and youth encouraged community. In this ecumenical community, students will be asked to Imagine what it means to be made in God’s image. To understand what it takes to create a life, a world and a faith that is meaningful and dynamic. To Animate that faith so that it enlivens a weary and wanting world!

Faith in 3D 2012 will feature some new venues! Worship in the Disney Park Epcot®. Sermons from 3 dynamic preachers. Music from a fiery and youthful band. Drama and Cultural references designed to reach students where they are … school, family, friendship, uncertainty, courage. A certain mouse as an usher. Fireworks as a postlude.

We’re making plans for you to join us in this special weekend of discovering a faith that crosses denominational lines, connects hearts, and envelops the world. We’re excited about bringing students together to experience faith in a different way. They will experience a faith that is wide, deep, long, and high.
